Author: Ashley Wilcox
Release date: April 29, 2013
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Age Group: Adult

Book Description:

College.
Parties, sororities and getting drunk.
Oh, yeah. And learning.
This may be true for most college students, but not for Leah Bennett.  College life for her includes studying, working, and excelling in school.  When it comes to the social ladder, Leah is at the bottom.  Popular girls, hot guys and star athletes are of no importance to her, except for one.
Matthew Jacobs.
Matt is the starting wide receiver at SUNY Cortland, the most wanted guy on campus and Leah’s best friend.  Although Leah’s feelings toward Matt run deeper than just a friendship, it is something she would never let be heard because the odds of someone like Matthew Jacobs going for someone like Leah Bennett are slim to none.
When Matt starts showing an interest in Leah that goes beyond friendship, she is dumbfounded and doesn’t believe it is possible – until one weekend that changes everything.
Will Matt and Leah’s popularity status get in the way of having a chance at a real relationship?
Or does status mean nothing when it comes to true love?

My Review:

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

What a sweet love story! I give this book a definite 4 STARS and would recommend it to  readers who love the romance genre. The characters are college aged, which I love because they are around the same age as me. I like reading books about characters that I could easily see myself hanging out with.

I loved following Leah and Matt through their journey in love. It was great to see them open up to each other, and throw their shyness away. Both thought the other was out of their league - both were wrong. They have such a pure love, and I enjoyed reading about them.

Leah is a nerdy, inexperienced, college photography major. Matt is a popular, nice, star football player of their college. Leah thinks someone as popular as Matt would have no romantic interest in her...after all, he could have any girl he wanted. But Matt thought that Leah was too good for him - too smart and beautiful. Luckily, they both ended up taking the risk and decided to see what would happen, instead of automatically assuming nothing would.

I loved how sweet Matt was, he was not your typical jock. Yes, he was an amazing athlete...but he wasn’t cocky and he didn’t sleep around. That made him being with Leah so much sweeter...he wasn’t with her just for the sake of it. Leah wasn’t a girl who slept around either - or at all. It was great to see her gain the confidence she needed to be who she wanted to be with Matt. It was fun watching her open up, and come into herself. Matt and Leah complimented each other so well.

I thought Leah was so awesome. She may have been a little nerdy and shy, but she was bad ass too. She didn’t let mean girls walk all over her, and stood up for herself when she needed to. She is a strong female character, and I loved that.

I also loved the supporting characters in “Waiting on Forever” and thought it was great to read more about Collin and Summer from book one of the Forever Series. Matt was a supporting character in “Planning on Forever” so it was great for him to have his own book this time around. I cannot wait to read the rest of the Forever series. It will be nice to see where all the characters go and what they end up doing.

I would definitely recommend Ashley Wilcox’s books if you like a young romance with adult themes, and also like to have a good laugh one second and get teary eyed the next. I found myself laughing out loud at several parts...I especially loved the Mad Lib scene - you’ll know what I’m talking about when you read this book!

About the Author:

Some may consider me a jack of all trades, but I consider myself well rounded.
I’ve waitressed, styled hair, answered phones and, most recently, worked full time as mom to my two beautiful little boys.
Then there was this book… Everyone and their brother started talking about this book series titled Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James.  I didn’t really pay attention to the craze at first, since I wasn’t a big reader- okay, I didn’t read at all.  But curiosity got the best of me, so I downloaded it to my kindle.
I was immediately hooked. I read the whole series in three days.  Yes, three books in three days.
I kept finding all these great books that I HAD to read (just ask my credit card!).
Then I started hearing voices. Voices that turned into stories; stories that were begging to get out of my head.
I started writing them down on scraps of paper. Then I transferred them to my computer. Before I knew it,  Planning on Forever was born.
The voices in my head are still talking, so I’m still writing.

COVER REVEAL

As most of you know, I published my debut, "RUSH INTO YOU" back in May 2014. I loved my cover, but I also thought it was time for ...
