Synopsis:

With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

Guest Post

Can you give us some writing 'Rule' back ground? When did you first imagine Rule and Shaw? Why were you drawn to these marked men, etc.? Anything else you want to add would be great!

I was in the middle of my own breakup with my tattooed and troubled ex. I was stressed, like stressed to levels I had never been before. I was awake all the time, I wasn’t eating, my head was just spinning around and around so I sat down and wrote. I wrote and I wrote to keep myself sane and to work through things on the computer screen. Rule and Shaw demanded a happy ending different from my own. Rule was so loud and prominent in my head, a guy that I knew, I guy that I had encountered more than once in my misspent youth, a guy that was misunderstood and trying to live his life on his terms…and Shaw, well Shaw was the end of innocence I guess. She was the dream girl that had to wake up and face reality kind of like I was having to do, a nice person, a good person that kept having to clean up everyone else’s mess. It was just all ringing around in my overworked brain and I had to get it out!!

I read a lot, always have and I was missing characters that I related to, that I identified with. I was missing a little piece of myself in the books I was reading and I think since I was so sad, and so insane that I decided to write something to escape into. I was drawn to these guys, this world because to me it’s real. Granted all the drama and crazy family stuff is exaggerated and blown up for storytelling purposes, but still. I know Rule, I hang out with Jet, Cora is a girl I could spend time talking to, I admire Ayden and how can you not love Shaw. Plus Rowdy is like my total dream guy and Nash is like the boy bestie I always wanted….Rome is out of my comfort zone, but that’s what makes his character so much fun to write.

(Just so you know I’m all better now. I sleep like a baby!! LOL)
