AUTHOR’S TAKE ON LORRIE FROM WRECKED

When the book starts, Lorrie is just lost and confused. She feels disoriented from having gone through the surreal experience of the media frenzy surrounding her mother’s death and her father’s subsequent suicide. She really hasn’t had enough time to grieve and come to terms with what has happened.

Despite her confusion Lorrie is truly a very strong character underneath it all. Even though she makes so many mistakes with Hunter, especially in the beginning of their relationship, readers will see that in the end there is something incredibly special about Lorrie that allows her to save Hunter from his pain.

Lorrie’s strength is definitely her ability to care for others. Right now, she’s just going through so much trauma that it really doesn’t shine through, but when she does find out Hunter’s secret, we will start to see a different side of her.

Random Fact: Lorrie watched a lot of horror films in high school during the divorce of her parents, which is why scary movies no longer scare her.
