5 STAR REVIEW: "Thoughtless" - S.C. Stephens

“Thoughtless”by S.C. Stephens

SYNOPSIS:
For almost two years now, Kiera’s boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she’s ever wanted: loving, tender, and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together—Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university—everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart. Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he’s purely a friend she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes . . . and none of them will ever be the same.

REVIEW:

I own this book and this review is solely my honest opinion.
ThoughtlessInsecurities! Angst! Passion! . . . oh YES! Ahh, my favorite formula in a book. I just love this New Adult genre. It is fabulous and takes me on a ride every time…an emotional ride. “Thoughtless” is one of those books where you get so sucked in that the character’s emotions become your own emotions. It’s that book that gets you so fired up and in such an emotional frenzy, that when you put it down you don’t even understand how everyone else is carrying on with their lives like nothing just happened…even though you’re sitting there dealing with extreme emotional trauma! Yes, I was really THAT into “Thoughtless.” So much that it stayed with me long after closing the book. I kept this book on my To Be Read List too long and I wish I read this 5 STAR novel sooner!
“Thoughtless” has one major love triangle revolving around college student Kiera. Loyalties are tested between Kiera and her long-term boyfriend Denny when bumps form in the road. Kiera is used to Denny’s safety, predictability, and faithfulness. There was never any doubt in her mind that Denny was the one until she met Kellan…everything changed from that point on. Kellan was everything that Denny was not: risky, passionate, and promiscuous. Rockstar Kellan and Kiera clicked instantly and he brought new feelings to Kiera…ones she didn’t feel with Denny. I don’t want to say more than what is stated in the synopsis, so make sure that you read “Thoughtless” by the amazingly talented S.C. Stephens to find out if Kiera will remain loyal to Denny or start something new with Kellan.
I really LOVED this book! I am actually reading “EFFORTLESS” right now and will be writing my review to the sequel when I am done. “RECKLESS” will be out soon also, so I will be reading that as well. “THOUGHTLESS” is an easy 5 STARS…one of those books that I would rate higher than 5 STARS if possible. It was a long book, over 500 pages, but I loved every second of it. I was so captivated by the characters that I didn’t even notice the length of the book until I was done. Kiera was a great character, and just very real. She was in a situation that women everywhere have been in, or could be in…and the way she reacted was human. She had insecurities just like many other people, and I felt connected to her. Denny was such a good man and loyal to a fault…he is actually what many women would consider the perfect boyfriend, or husband material. As for Kellan…he was sooo hot! I loved him. But, I loved the deeper side of him…not just the side the groupies saw. I loved Kellan’s passion for the things he loved…such as his music. Kellan’s music was amazing – I could almost hear it while reading, I think his band, the D bags, just might be my favorite band now! Does it count if they are a fictional band though? They really just seemed so real!
I definitely recommend “THOUGHTLESS” by S.C. Stephens to fans of Contemporary Romance, and the New Adult genre. As I said, I am already reading the sequel to this book, “EFFORTLESS,” but all of S.C. Stephens’ books will be added to my To Be Read list – now and in the future. Go out and buy or borrow this 5 STAR book now, you will not be disappointed.
