I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

So Layken aka Lake is new to Michigan. She recently moved from Texas with her mother and younger brother when her father passed away. Upon arriving to her new house, she meets Will and his younger brother. The little brothers are instant friends and there is an immediate attraction between Lake and Will. They go on a date and hit if off right away, both looking forward to where this connection will lead. All of a sudden, real life gets in the way of their relationship. They have a forbidden love that cannot be pursued due to certain circumstances. But, there is no denying their true feelings towards each other, especially when they have to see each other every single day no matter what. Both Lake and Will have a lot of personal problems and drama within their own lives that they must deal with, though it would be easier if they could deal with everything together. Being friends and putting on a happy face is tough when all they want is to be lovers though. Can Lake and Will overcome all the obstacles in their paths to be together? Find this out and way more in Colleen Hoover's "Slammed"!!
Once again, I LOVED this book! Colleen Hoover is simply AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, WONDERFUL, and downright MARVELOUS! She is such a talented writer whom really knows how to involve her readers. She pulled me in immediately with this story. I heard this book was sad before I read it but I had no idea how sad. There were a few points while reading where I thought I had this book figured out only to be surprised with the twists that Ms. Hoover sprung on us readers. I loved that I didn't find this book predictable in the slightest. I loved that when I wasn't reading "Slammed", I was thinking about it. I also find myself looking at people on TV and on the internet and thinking they would make great Lake and Will characters. "Slammed" was another book that I found myself completely involved in. And I love being involved. I have recommended "Slammed" to several people while I was reading, and now here in my review I will recommend it to ANYONE and EVERYONE looking for a FABULOUS read. Adults and Young Adults will both enjoy "Slammed". The romance is perfectly suitable for The YA audience, but some of the subject matter is very adult - and not in a bad way. It is adult because of the seriousness of the situations, the realness of some of the subjects. Will and Lake's own personal stories are things that could happen to anyone – things that unfortunately happen to too many people. People can relate to "Slammed" because of the romance, friendship, hardships, heartbreak, death, family, and love. I feel like anything I write in my review cannot do this book justice, I pretty much think that you need to go out and buy "Slammed" by Colleen Hoover so you can see how AMAZING this story is for yourself. Enjoy! And tell me what you think of this book after you read it!
