Synopsis
via Goodreads:
Finally, the highly anticipated follow-up to the New York Times bestseller Beautiful Disaster.
Can you love someone too much?
Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.
In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.
Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.

My Review:
HELLLLOOOO TRAVIS! Oh, how I have missed you! I loved Travis sooo much in "BEAUTIFUL DISASTER" that I read the book in one night. I read it again before reading "WALKING DISASTER" too. I want everything about Travis and Abby fresh in my mind! I read it slower the second time around, savoring rach word and emotion.
The first time I met the characters of Beautiful Disaster, I finished the book in a matter of hours. That's how much I was in love with them all. On the cover of Walking Disaster is a quote from the Fabulous author, Colleen Hoover. She says, "Once you get in Travis's head, you won't want to leave." This statement is absolutely true to me. I wanted to stay with Travis forever. That's the reason I read this book at a more average speed then I normally would.
I pre-order this 5 STAR book the moment the option became available. Wait...did I just say 5 STARS? Oops, I take that back. This book isn't 5 STARS! No way. 5 Stars is too inadequate. It's just not a good enough rating for "Walking Disaster." 5 Stars wasn't good enough for Beautiful Disaster either. Both books deserve 10 STARS in my opinion...but I guess for the sake of putting a review here, I'll have to give it 5. =)
Walking Disaster is the same story as Beautiful Disaster, just told from Travis' point of view instead of Abby's. So, you know when you were reading Beautiful Disaster and it was a very intense argument of intimate sex scene and you just really wanted to know what was going on in Travis' head? You wanted to know what he was thinking at that exact moment? Well, now in Walking Disaster, you get to experience every thought and emotion from Travis himself. You get to see what he was really like, or what he was really doing when he wasn't with Abby. You will get the chance to see how much he truly loves Abby...and how crazy he really is.
In Walking Disaster, you not only get his side of the story from what we read in Beautiful Disaster, but we also get extra scenes. We get more of Travis' backstory that we didn't get in book one. You will get to see why Travis is like he is. You will see what inspired him to be the man he is. I truly loved every second of the adventure through Trav's mind. It's a place I'd like to revisit over and over.
Oh yeah, and I found it pretty interesting getting more of an inside scoop into Parker. I liked seeing the history between Travis and him. As usual, I loved Shepley and America. I loved them in book one, and I loved them in book two. I wouldn't mind seeing them get their own book one day...or even just a short novella ;)
Other than loving Travis' perspective and feelings about Abby and his relationship, I really loved the bonus scenes. It was sooo freakin' awesome being able to get a glimpse into their future. You'll be able to see if they really live Happily Ever After. You'll get all that information you were seeking at the end of book one, and it'll be better than you expected. I loved the "IN YOUR FACE" to all the haters. Abby and Travis deserve their happiness, and I'd like them to just say "BYE HATERS" to everyone who doubted them.
Fans of Contemporary Romance, and the New Adult genre will enjoy this book. Fans of Beautiful Disaster should enjoy this book too. Remember, it's the same story...just told from Travis' point of view. There will be the extra scenes that weren't in the first book, but it is the same story. Don't go into this book expecting a sequel, that's not what it is.
I'm a Jamie McGuire fan for life. I will read all her books, and they will all have a place on my bookshelf. I like getting print copies of my favorite books. Jamie McGuire is one of my all time favorite authors and her books are some of my all time favorite!
Happy Reading!
